Citizen communications regarding the performance of our personnel are always welcomed by the St. Louis County Police Department. We are always pleased when we are told that a Department employee's performance was outstanding, and we need to know when an employee didn't meet your expectations.
There are several ways in which you can make the Department aware when an employee has done particularly well in performing his or her job. You can:
- Mail a brief letter to:
Colonel Jon Belmar, Chief of Police
St. Louis County Police Department
Clayton, MO 63105.
Please describe the incident and the actions you think were exceptional. If you don't know the officer's name, please include information such as the type of incident, date, time, and location.
- E-mail the compliment to Chief Belmar through this link.
- Make a verbal commendation by calling the Bureau of Professional Standards at (314) 615-5340.
- Online Option: Commend an Officer or Submit a Complaint. These forms will go directly to the Bureau of Professional Standards.
