On Tuesday, February 19, 2019, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued charges on suspect Ivan Henley, 23 years of age, of the 10800 block of Hallstead Drive in St. Louis, Missouri 63136, for one count of Murder in the Second Degree, one count of Armed Criminal Action, one count of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and one count of Tampering with Physical Evidence in a Felony Prosecution. Henley is being held on a $1,000,000 cash only bond. A prior mugshot of Henley is attached.
The probable cause statement reads: On February 17, 2019, the defendant was in possession of a 9mm firearm, when he met up with the victim in the parking lot at 1405 Dunn Road in St. Louis County, Missouri. The defendant entered the victim’s vehicle and sat in the front passenger seat. The defendant then discharged his weapon multiple times at the victim, striking, and killing the victim. The defendant then took off with a firearm that had been in the possession of the victim and fled the scene. The defendant is a convicted felon under the laws of the State of Missouri. The defendant has been identified as the person committing the offenses.
Detectives from the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons are conducting the investigation.
