On Wednesday, April 17, 2019, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued charges on suspect Justin Caffey, 31 years of age, of the 1000 block of Patience Drive in Florissant, Missouri 63034, for one count of Murder in the Second Degree, one count of Attempted Robbery in the First Degree, and two counts of Armed Criminal Action. Caffey is being held on a $500,000 cash only bond. A mugshot of Caffey is attached.
The probable cause statement reads: Defendant meets with Victim to buy pills from him. A dispute begins over money. Defendant pulls out a gun and announces a robbery. After a struggle the Defendant shoots Victim. The Defendant has been identified as the shooter by several people.
Detectives from the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons are conducting the investigation.
