On Wednesday, February 27, 2019, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued charges on suspect Michael Johnson, 66 years of age, of the 2600 block of Woodsage Drive in Florissant, Missouri 63033, for two counts of Conspiracy to Commit Murder in the First Degree and two counts of Tamper or Attempt to Tamper with a Victim in a Felony Prosecution. A photo of Johnson is attached.
The probable cause statement reads: Between February 7, 2019 and February 26, 2019, Defendant agreed with Deonte Taylor to give money to CI so that CI would murder R.B. and A.H. Defendant made payments to CI. Defendant did so to prevent R.B. and A.H. from testifying against Deonte Taylor. R.B. and A.H. are both witnesses on case number 18SL-CR08695, 3 counts of Statutory Sodomy 1st degree that were charged as felonies in the County of St. Louis, State of Missouri on or about November 28, 2018 against Deonte Taylor. Defendant admitted to the offenses.
Additionally, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued charges on suspect Deonte Taylor, 36 years of age, of the 2600 block of Woodsage Drive in Florissant, Missouri 63033, for two counts of Conspiracy to Commit Murder in the First Degree and two counts of Tamper or Attempt to Tamper with a Victim in a Felony Prosecution. A photo of Taylor is attached.
The probable cause statement reads: Between February 7, 2019 and February 26, 2019, Defendant asked CI to murder R.B. and A.H. in exchange for money. Defendant directed Michael Johnson to pay CI. Johnson made payments to CI at the direction of the Defendant. Defendant did so to prevent R.B. and A.H. from testifying against him in case number 18SL-CR08659, in which they are both witnesses. In case number 18SL-CR08659, Defendant is charged with 3 counts of Statutory Sodomy 1st Degree that were charged as felonies in the County of St. Louis, State of Missouri on or about November 28, 2018.
Detectives from the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons are conducting the investigation.
