The St. Louis County Police Department would like to announce the addition of Police Officer Tracy Panus to serve in the role of Media Relations Officer, within the Public Information Office. Officer Panus was born and raised in Washington, Missouri. She started her career with the St. Louis County Police Department in January of 2000, where she worked as a patrol officer, school resource officer and DARE Officer in the Central County and West County Precincts. In 2006, she was transferred to the Public Information Office as the Media Relations Officer and was promoted to Sergeant in 2009. Sergeant Panus then transferred to the Central County Precinct as the Neighborhood Policing Sergeant. Sergeant Panus left the Department to work in the private sector in 2013 and returned to the St. Louis County Police Department in 2018 as the Public Information Officer for the Office of Emergency Management. Officer Panus earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Southeast Missouri State University (1996) and a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Lindenwood University (2010).
