On Wednesday, September 11, 2019, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued charges on suspect David Dockens Jr., 39 years of age, of the 1200 block of Covington Manor Lane in St. Louis, Missouri 63125, for one count of Statutory Rape in the Second Degree and two counts of Statutory Sodomy in the Second Degree. Dockens is being held on $250,000 “cash only” bond.  A mugshot of Dockens is attached.

 

The probable cause statement reads:  The Victim disclosed that she had been in a sexual relationship with the Defendant, a 39 year old male, for years. The Victim stated that she had begun having sex with the Defendant when she was fourteen years old when they lived in Louisiana. The Victim also stated that they moved to St. Louis County in 2018 and the sexual relationship continued while she was 15 years old. The Victim indicated they had sexual intercourse, anal intercourse, and that she touched his penis with her hand. The Defendant admitted to the sexual relationship to a witness on a recorded phone call.

As the investigation has progressed, child pornography in the form of numerous videos and photos were located on electronic devices utilized by the Defendant. The children victimized and depicted have not been identified at this time. It is possible that the victims could reside in the St. Louis Region. Detectives with the St. Louis County Police Department are asking if anyone believes they may have been victimized by Dockens to call 314-615-5370.

Detectives from the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons – Child Abuse Unit are conducting the investigation.
