On Sunday, February 18th, 2018, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued charges on suspect Pierre Ward, 22 years of age, of the 2900 block of Atlantic Park in Florissant, Missouri 63031, for nine counts of Robbery in the First Degree and one count of Resisting/Interfering with Arrest for a Felony. Ward is being held on a $400,000.00 cash only bond. A photo of Ward is attached.
The probable cause statement reads: Between 12/1/17 and 2/17/18, Defendant robbed Family Dollar, McDonalds, Dollar General, Dominos, Subway, Maxi Beauty Supply, and GNC one or more times and was armed with a handgun. He took currency. In one case, he also took a patron’s wallet. Defendant lead police on a high speed chase when an officer attempted to arrest him on 2/17/18. Defendant confessed to all.
Detectives from the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons conducted the investigations with investigators from the Florissant Police Department.
Previously, on January 10, 2018, a suspect was arrested and charged in regard to two business robberies (See Press Release #18004). Based on new information that developed during the on-going investigations, that individual has been eliminated as a suspect. He has since been released from custody and the case against him dismissed.
