Captain Guy Means, Commander
On behalf of the officers of the Affton-Southwest Precinct, I encourage your interest and participation in our mission to best serve and protect our community. Our dedication to provide the highest level of professional police services to the Citizens of St. Louis County and our visitors is paramount.
Our residential and business communities are of great importance to us, and every effort is made to improve our communications with all. Simple habits and practices can make a big difference in our efforts. Locking up is the easiest of those to do. When you are ready to leave your home or business, check one extra time to make sure the doors and windows are all locked. When you reach your destination, hit the button twice to lock your car before you walk away. Even if you are going to “just be a minute” it is never a safe plan to leave your car running unlocked while you are attending to something else. Don’t forget one last piece of advice, if you see something or someone that looks out of place, don’t hesitate to call us right away at 636-529-8210.
Community engagement is a priority and we regularly enjoy participation in various community activities such as block parties, community gatherings, business safety workshops and our popular Citizens Police Academy Program. Neighborhood Watch programs are a successful tool within our residential areas and we encourage our business community leaders participation in similar Business Watch activities. If you would like information about any of those activities, please contact our Neighborhood Police Officers at the Precinct.
Be assured, I am committed to making sure that every resource we have available is here and ready for you, should you ever be in the position to need it night or day. You are welcome to reach out to us at any time.
