St. Louis County, MO (April 18, 2024): On Tuesday, April 16, 2024, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued an “at large” warrant on suspect Johnny Ricks, 25 years of age, of the 10200 block of Tanner Drive in St. Louis, Missouri 63136, for Assault Second Degree and Property Damage Second Degree. A booking photo of Ricks is attached. Ricks is being held on $150,000 cash only, no 10%, bond.
At 1:30 p.m., on April 17, 2024, the St. Louis County Police Department Special Response Unit arrested Ricks in the 6900 block of Olive Boulevard.
Please note, charges are merely an accusation and Defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
The probable cause statement reads: At 6:51 p.m., on April 7, 2024, officers responded to 6863 Parker Road for a report of an assault. Upon arrival, officers learned that a customer at the business, later identified as defendant Johnny Ricks had gotten upset and destroyed an electronic menu board by throwing a tray at it. Employees told him he needed to leave and escorted him outside. Once outside, an argument ensued, drawing the attention of more people. Ricks then pulled one of the employees to the ground by her hair and stomped on her head twice. The employee got up and Ricks punched her in the head. The victim suffered serious physical injury as a result.
St. Louis County Police Department North County Precinct officers are leading this investigation.
